Builder's Remarks
The Tashiba 40's hull is made of hand laminated, one-piece, heavy-duty fiberglass with optional polyurethane insulation for liveaboard ability. A series of longitudinal and transverse stringers are used to provide maximum hull support. There is a one-piece internal iron cast ballast bedded with fiberglass and polyester resin, glassed over to reinforce the hull section. The standard model is cutter-rigged and features a varnished teak and spruce cabin sole. The pilothouse model provides a warm, secure inside steering station. Pedestal steering is standard.
