I have a Tashiba 40 and have the following lines run to the cockpit. Main halyard, mainsheet, staysail sheets, #1 and #2 reefing lines, the topping lift and mainsheet traveler controls. I have 2 – 3 part jammers, one 2 part jammer and a single jammer for the topping lift. All jammers are raised for optimum angle to the appropriate winch. All lines are marked to indicate when they are sheeted home. We only go forward to change the cringle for the reefs. I don’t recommend a single line to the tack and clew due to too much drag. The system works very well and keeps us in the cockpit at night and in really bad weather. Note the installation in the pictures. Here’s the fwd section of my sheet running scheme. On the port side is, left to right, the #2 reef line, the staysail sheet, The main traveler sheet and the topping lift. See port fwd pictures for layout. Stbd – inside to outside. On the inboard jammer you have the main halyard and the mainsheet. One the outboard traveler you have the main traveler sheet, the stbd staysail sheet and the #1 reef.
