This is a Kubota single cylinder 140 AMP DC gen set mounted on a Baba 40 aft.
The rudder shaft in the canoe stern on a 3/8" stainless steel bed plate. 
The motor mounts are an upgrade and the noise is minimal when running with 
no sound insulation installed. 

This unit is mounted aft the rudder shaft. That is a 3/8" SST bed plate, fuel 
pump, fw/rw heat exchanger mounted on star board fixed to the hull with 
fiberglass & wood.
